Description
Inspired by my walks at Manning Lake, I have used wire as my medium as I find it captures both the visible and invisible worlds of humans and animals alike. The motion, body and sound of birds are represented here – the joy of their flight. I bend the wire as if drawing in air, every element is nurtured, represented and respected. The wire is mostly copper and aluminium, with the addition of electric blues, red and gold representing spouts of natural energy. The piece hangs like a cocoon, encompassing traces of all that exists within this one precious pocket of the larger universe.
